Three of the Best Met Gala 2017 Beauty Looks

by

Trust the Met Gala to throw out some dramatic beauty looks to get us all excited about getting dolled up on our next night out. The fundraising soirée, dubbed as ‘fashion’s biggest night out’, sees some of the biggest names in fashion and film express their take on the annual theme – with impressive effect. This year’s theme was Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons and here’s a roundup of our 3 fave looks (plus how to achieve them naturally, obvs).

Lily-Rose Depp

If you’re able to get over the fact that a 17 year old is dramatically cooler than you, Lily’s look was one of the best of the night. Killer kohl cat eyes and an otherworldly glow, topped off with an effortless chignon (oh, and bright pink Chanel dress, sure). We’d get that eye using W3ll People Expressionist Liquid Liner  and that dew using Clean Beauty Co’s Babe Balm.

Lily Collins

We are obsessed with Lily’s all out vamp/goth, topped off with a 90s-inspired black bob and fringe (very Pulp Fiction). The lips and lashes made the look – we’d use Axiology Natural Organic Lipstick in Existential and 100% Pure’s Fruit Pigmented Ultra Lengthening Mascara – in Black Tea.

Rihanna

Amazingly not outshone by her dress, Rhi Rhi’s dramatic pink highlighter was  just pure majestic. Blended from the lids out with a bright glow and teamed with heavy lip liner in a dark plum. A top class top knot topped off the look – sleek and sophisticated, adding some (much needed) simplicity to the look. We’d opt for pre-mixing some RMS Lip2Cheek in Demure and Master Mixer on the back of the hand before applying to lids and cheeks as well as lining the lips with Jane Iredale Lip Pencil in Berry.
