The lovely Gayathrie sent us some goodies to celebrate the relaunch of her luxe online store Origins of Beauty and we were super keen to dig into the Dr Botanicals Daily Essentials Collections. Why try one product when you can try the whole neatly packaged set? The dream. I’ve been using all three products religiously for the past month and my skin has been absolutely loving the high doses of nutrients (hello kale and artichokes) both day and night, and I’ve noticed an improvement in texture using the three products in tandem, particularly the serum and night moisturiser.
Kale Superfood Nourishing Day Moisturiser
This is a light day cream, high in Vitamin C and E and works to nourish and protect the skin. It’s definitely something I could only use in warmer weather / Summer because it’s too light for my dry skin type. My only constructive thought is that it would be great if it included an SPF to make it an all round day cream and saves me layering multiple products.
Pomegranate Superfood Brightening Eye Serum
This antioxidant rich serum has raspberry seed oil, brightening and protecting the skin. It’s light and absorbs quickly, but I’m not a particular convert to eye only products, so ended up using this over my whole face. Which it loved, so no qualms there!
Artichoke Superfood Firming Night Moisturiser – 50ml
My favourite in the range, this moisturiser was dense, also high in antioxidants but also it felt rich and replenishing. It contains artichokes which detoxify free radicals and grape seed oil is also rich in fatty acids that hydrates and nourishes my London worn skin.
Overall, I’ll be devastated when these run out, so that’s always a good sign. But in the way of natural products, a little goes a long way, so I’m hoping to make my way slowly through these babies. I’m hoping their continued use will help me achieve my ‘soft’ look at my upcoming wedding.
