So, eyebrow microblading has become kinda a big thing recently in the beauty world so we decided to do some research into it to see what the hype was all about. We thought we’d share what we found with you so you can decide for yourself whether it’s the one for you!
WHAT IS IT?
Microblading is a form of semi-permanent tattoo for those brows of yours – it involves using tiny needles which form a blade to help deposit pigment under your skin. It might sound a bit gross but bear with us…
The benefits of it might actually make up for the scary process. It promises to shape, fill and fix your eyebrows in place and it lasts around one to three years with the exception of a top up after 12 months. I mean just imagine waking up with the most perfect eyebrows EVERYDAY without having to do a single thing to them – ahh the dream.
It costs between £200-£250 but obviously we would recommend to do thorough research into the specialist you choose and make sure they’ve had shining past reviews!
What EXACTLY do they do?
Well, they make tiny cuts in and along your brow, and then deposit a pigment over your brow arches so they sink into the hair-like wounds. It doesn’t sound too appealing BUT it roughly only lasts an hour and from our research it compares to getting your brows threaded on the pain scale which isn’t too shabby (but this obvs depends on your pain threshold).
IS IT WORTH THE HYPE?
This one is up to you. We’ve got some good ol’ before and after pics so you can decide for yourself:
But some friendly tips to help you decide, we think it looks great and can save A LOT of hassle in the morning if you’re looking to get those perfect Cara Delevingne brows on a daily basis. However, that’s if you’ve got 250 quid to spare – it costs a pretty penny, but if your brows are always on the unruly side then it may be the one for you, on the other hand, if you’re blessed with fairly easy to tame brows then maybe a quick brow gel fix will do?
So, now we’ve given you the low down, what do you think? Are you up for microblading?!
